QUILT SHOW
The Pigeon District Library Quilt Show had a total of 249 registered visitors who came to view the 45 quilts and quilted items on display. Visitors came from many parts of Michigan, and from the states of Arizona, Florida, Indiana, Kansas, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Texas.

ANNUAL USED BOOK SALE
The Friends of the Pigeon District Library are very grateful for the patrons who supported
the library through donations of used books which were placed in the Annual Book Sale during the Farmers’ Festival. The proceeds from the book sale will benefit the library through the friends group.

USED BOOK SALE
There will be no Used Book Sale on Saturday, August 7, 2010. The Friends of the Pigeon District Library will be having a Used Book Sale in September. Also, don’t forget the On-Going Used Book Sale. Selected hardcover and paperback books are always on the bookshelves near the circulation counter.

STORY HOUR
“The Sun” will be the theme for Tuesday, August 3, 2010. One half-hour session is held for Lap-Sit Story Time each Tuesday at 10:00 AM with parent and child attending the Story Time and Pre-School Story Hour is held each Tuesday at 10:30 AM. In both sessions, children listen to stories and participate in finger plays, songs and crafts. There is no cost for this service and new families are always welcome. For more information, please call the library at 453-2341 and ask for Jane Himmel.

264 DVD Rentals,
125 Audio and CDs,
78 Magazines,
309 Internet Users,
9 Puzzles, 43 NF Videos and NF DVDs,
225 Video Rentals, and
651 New Materials.

Interlibrary loan included
302 items borrowed and
439 items loaned to other libraries.

Three Story Hours were held with 47 in attendance.
Forty-seven registrations for the month included:

2 from other townships.
